Island Girls Photography

This project created a space where young people aged 13–16 could explore identity and gender through photography, on their own terms.

Alongside developing their technical skills, the workshops focused on building confidence, encouraging dialogue, and helping participants think more critically about the images they create and consume.

The project culminated at St Margaret’s House, where the students exhibited their work and shared their perspectives with the public through short talks and a Q&A.
